Starting over, again

History repeats itself. Yep. I broke up again. This time me and my girlfriend, now already my ex-girlfriend, both agreed on it. It's funny... When we broke up last year, that was the initiating moment to start this blog (here's my first post). But this time is different. This time is serious. A year ago was a big shock, because I didn't expect something like that. It came out of nowhere. Now I sensed something like that's coming up and partly I was also thinking to break up myself. But I wasn't strong enough. I wasn't sure enough. Well, now it's done. I need to accept it. And I need to get over it. It was never the same since last years break up. We were single over 3 months before we came back together. I took her back because I loved her, even after she hurt me. I tried my best to make it work, but I saw it got harder and harder. Sometimes I wasn't like I used to be and she felt that. I was sometimes very moody and unsecure. It was hard for both to continue like that. We knew that. And while being in Malaysia, it was still mostly ok, we had a great time. And I'm sure we both won't forget that. Her family loved me and I loved them. All the nephews and nieces called me uncle Nino, hugged me. It was a touching moment when her 2 years old niece said 'Uncle Nino, I love you.' I will always cherish these moments. I am still lucky to experience so many unforgettable moments with her. Thank you, 慧凊。

A new beginning

Now I need to start over with my life! Some changes have occured in my life, mostly regarding my family. I'm now back home and I need to start moving. I know it's hard for me with this sickenning allergy and it will get tougher. But I have to be strong. I need to get back on track. It's a new beginning for me. I won't talk about what are my plans. I need to keep them inside me and just achieve my goals. Writing about it won't help. Sometimes words have a huge impact, but in this case words are nothing. Actions must follow. So let's get to work. Daydreaming is over!

The sisters surprised me!

My girlfriend's sisters or my Chinese sisters (as I refer to them), really surprised me! I had the plan to buy the Nokia E66, I just waited for the euro exchange rate to rise a bit, before I change to Malaysian ringgit. Since december 2008, the euro got weaker comparing to the Malaysian ringgit for about 10%, so things became 10% more expensive for me. So the last weeks I was paying attention to the exchange rate on daily basis, plus I tried to find a good bargain for my Nokia.
My girlfriend's father likes handphones, likes to discuss the prices and other things. So last time he brought me to one shop near by the house, where they showed me this Nokia E66, the price was the cheapest of all previous ones. So after that, he got an idea for a farewell present for me. He told his daughters, who apparently started to collect money and bought the Nokia for me. In 4 days I will fly home, so basically yesterday I wanted to buy the Nokia myself. But suddenly the father comes in our room, passes me the Nokia and goes. I was so shocked! I was thinking, why he bought already, I haven't changed the money yet, how much did it cost and everything - I was confused! Then my girlfriend told me how they all treated me. Wow! I really didn't expect. And I was very shy and humble. I went to all of them individually and said thank you. My girlfriend said, they all liked me and they wanted to give me like a farewell present and the birthday present all together, since my birthday is in 1 month. I must say, they all grew even fonder to me. I will miss them when I go back. I hope I can see them soon. So... thank you again, da jie, er jie, san jie, ah Juan, ah Ling, ah Wen and xiao mei for surprising me that much. Best of luck to all of you.

My grandpa died

My grandfather died in the age of 77 due to pneumonia. He wasn't a perfect man, he wasn't a man of warm words and a kindness that I saw in other people's grandfathers. But at last, he showed some fondness towards my mum, my sisters and me. He was a part of my life, because he was always there. But we didn't really know him, he didn't really know us. There was always a wall between us. In the time when he was in hospital, so I was told, this wall began to crumble. But there was no time to tear down the wall completely. It was too late, he was taken away from us. I got the note from my sister while I was in Hong Kong. That was tough. I wished I could see him in hospital, say something like 'goodbye' to him. It just wasn't meant to be. I would just want to let him know: I liked him, despite sometimes saying otherwise in anger. I liked him and I'll miss him.

May he Rest In Peace.
